Prof. Olive Mugenda is a distinguished academic leader and an accomplished facilitator in leadership,management, and governance programs across Africa and beyond. She holds an MSc and PhD in Family and Consumer Sciences from Iowa State University, USA, and an MBA from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI), Tanzania. She is widely celebrated for her transformative tenure as Vice-Chancellor of Kenyatta University (2006–2016), where she made history as the first woman to lead a public university in Kenya and East Africa. Prof. Mugenda also served as the Founding Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) - a top-tier health facility in East Africa (2019 – 2024).

Amy Kristof-Brown, PhD, is the Henry B. Tippie Dean and Professor at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business, where she has been a faculty member since 1997.
